Privacy policy
Last updated 24 July 2026 · version 2026-07-24 (superseded)
The short version
mindsparx is built so that the people taking tests appear everywhere as an anonymous code (like IND-7F3K9), never as a name or email. Your email exists in exactly one place, your account record, and connects you to your code. Delete your account and that connection is gone: your results and certificates remain as anonymous records that no longer point at anyone. We never sell personal data, and we never hand your email to companies, clients, or agencies.
Who we are
mindsparx (“we”) operates this skill-testing platform for AI data work at mindsparx.ai. For anything privacy-related, contact us.
What we collect and why
Freelancer accounts: your email address (to sign you in and run your account), your consent records (when you accepted this policy, and whether you opted in to hearing about work opportunities), and your test activity: answers you submit, scores, timing, and any certificates you earn. All test activity is stored under your anonymous code, not your email.
Client (company) users: the email used for their workspace login and the assessments and runs they manage. Companies identify their own candidates by codes; we never receive those candidates’ names or emails.
Visitors: if you leave your email on our site to hear from us, we store it for exactly that purpose until you ask us to stop.
What we do NOT do
We do not sell personal data. We do not share your email with companies, clients, or recruitment agencies. Companies using the platform only ever see anonymous codes and results. If you opt in to work opportunities, it is always us contacting you. You then decide whether to respond to anyone.
Work opportunities (optional)
At signup (and anytime in settings) you can opt in to being contacted by us about paid work that matches your results. This is optional, off by default, and withdrawing it in settings is one click. Withdrawing never affects your tests or certificates.
Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers to run the platform: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI features: for example, questions you type into the in-test help assistant are processed by their API), and Resend (sending emails such as your sign-in link). Each processes data only on our instructions.
Certificates
Certificates are public pages reachable only by their unique link, and they show your anonymous code, the test, the score, and dates. No name and no email, unless you choose otherwise: you can optionally display your name on a certificate you earned. You can remove it at any time, and deleting your account removes your name from every certificate automatically. If you share a certificate (for example on LinkedIn), you choose to connect it to your identity; the certificate page itself never does unless you asked it to.
How long we keep things
Detailed test answers are deleted on a rolling basis about 30 days after a test run finishes; summary results (scores) and certificates are kept so your credential stays verifiable. Accounts that stay inactive for a long period may be removed. Consent records are kept while your account exists.
Your rights
You can download everything we hold about you (Settings → Download my data), correct it, or delete your account (Settings → Delete my account). Deletion removes your email and the link between you and your code; results and certificates remain as anonymous, code-only records. This keeps issued credentials honest without keeping anything about you. If you want your test records fully deleted too, contact us and we’ll do it. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes
If this policy materially changes, we’ll ask you to review it again the next time you sign in. The version you accepted is always shown in your settings.
